With Windows 10 about to die I'm anticipating a ton of old machines to come on the market cheap and I want to snag one to run Commodore Vision OS. I saw a video featuring it in action.
@Paisley Pythia Peinforte8:34 AM
God X how many computers do you have?
@Sakura X. Aino8:34 AM
That's like Dio asking Jonathan Joestar how many breads he's eaten.
@[ DR. XADiUM ]8:42 AM
I'm really souring on Windows thanks to Microsoft pushing a lot of stuff on people.
Det. Ema Skye8:44 AM
Thing is, if Uncle Orange keeps up his Tariffs crap I bet the cost of computers on eBay is gonna jump
Just because everyone's gonna know that everyone will be trying to buy on the secondary market.
@[ DR. XADiUM ]8:56 AM
Ugh probably true.
Det. Ema Skye2:57 PM
So since I'm in a "F[BLEEP]k fascists" mood, here's a site they put together to proudly say which businesses reflect their s[BLEEP]tty values.
if I have a s[BLEEP]tton of money and I want to go to space and someone offers me a ticket on a space rocket why the f[BLEEP]k shouldn't I be allowed to take it?
FireFly_97:30 AM
You're allowed but it's an insultive thing to do when people are suffering everywhere?
@SpeedRcrX7:30 AM
But why can't I do what I want with the money I earned? Why can't I realize my dream if I'm not hurting anyone else?
FireFly_97:31 AM
But it is hurting other people. It puts money and prestige into Bezos' pocket, and this is a man who is selling everyone out for his own personal gain.
Plus the optics. It's like Marie Antoinette saying "let them eat cake" and partying her heart out while everyone else is losing their jobs and unable to afford food.
@SpeedRcrX7:33 AM
So what she's supposed to do? She just wants to see space. Who DOESN'T want to see space?
FireFly_97:34 AM
Do you not get the concept of priorities, Haruka-poppa? As a human being first she should be using her popularity and platform to push back against all the damage being done to the world around her.
To tell Bezos to f[BLEEP]k off until he stops sabotaging Washington Post, stops being a coward and make the largest shopping platform in the world report on the true cost of tariffs...
Well that's her right, but it's also going to make her seem incredibly selfish. Contrast what she's done with Pedro Pascal, who's similarly famous and beloved for things such as The Mandalorian and The Last of Us, yet has no problem calling out JK Rowling.
I guess I can see what you mean. But it just feels like a bit much?
FireFly_97:40 AM
It's got to be right now. It's not like we're living in a relatively safe era where we can just roll our eyes and say "oh, look at what those rich people are doing now" because it doesn't affect us.
Bezos is one of the Techbro set that is actively engaged in destroying everything around them.
@SpeedRcrX7:41 AM
Man isn't calling people "TechBros" just modern picking on nerds?
@Paisley Pythia Peinforte7:41 AM
Oi. Nerds called all this s[BLEEP]te out.
TechBros are not nerds. They're Businessmen parasites wrapped up in the mantle of Nerddom but who share none of their real beliefs.
They play at being nerds but, if they ever REALLY had Nerd cred they've lost it selling out to further their own sociopathic goals.
@SpeedRcrX7:44 AM
Okay okay I can see I stepped on a minefield here
I just feel like if I have a s[BLEEP]tton of money I should be able to do what I want with it
FireFly_97:45 AM
You said that already? And I already said while you're free to do so, others are free to call you an ass for how you do it.
Det. Ema Skye7:46 AM
Yeah, for example Zuckerberg's Sheep Ranch where he bought a chunk of Hawaii to feed sheep macadamias.
You can't tell me that's not some "Nero fiddling while Rome burns" crap.
@Sakura X. Aino8:04 AM
It feels like all the mega-billionaires are entering their Bond Villain phase.

Suburban Senshi: It's like Shakespeare but with lots more violence.
