PREFACE: To understand this segment , certain things need to be clear, as #suburbansenshi2 continuity is more rich and complex than #suburbansenshi's. I am hitting them in no particular order.
Critically, plot-wise, rei.bot, who experiences thought across all moments of her timeline, has sensed that there is a massive disruption in the future which threatens to spill back into the past, undoing the very foundation of sub.senshi as we know it.
Dr. Xadium, far from being the weak Time Lord he was merely weeks ago, has become a changed man. After being killed 5 times by Minako (cf. Lost in Time), the ghosts of his lost lives formed the "Bad Wolf Xadium" (think the Valeyard from Dr. Who) who wanted to kill him to regain the life he had lost. This entity eventually died, and its energies returned to Xadium, albeit in unusable form.
Due to adventures in the mind of the evil Jedda Rain, Xadium was able to access a sword-blade forged from his very soul, the golden blade Fenrir, (a Soul Slayer like in Bleach), who was the crystallized form of his soul, cracked and broken from the influence of the shock and betryal suffered by the Bad Wolf. Also, he first teamed up with the Expellan Magus, Shaldra Darkness, and rediscovered his roots as an adventurer.
Due to circumstances entirely too insane to explain properly, Xadium was linked to Shaldra's power via a pactio, a magical link that gave the scientiic Time Lord his entry into a world of magic and spiritual discipline. Astonishingly, he took well to the influx of power, and after he proved able to summon the 12-disc chakram Ouroubourous, rei.bot decided to train him once again.
Sensing Xadium was too weak a fighter to ever really use the power of Shaldra's pactio properly, rei.bot caused Jedite to open a portal to hell, from which she promptly escaped, traveling to the holiest planet in the universe, Kaioushin-kai. There, from the lecherour old god of gods, the elder Rou Kaioushin, she learned the spell that could rebuild someone's ki over the course of 25 hours. Returning to Earth, she made Xadium undergo the procedure, fusing the Bad Wolf lives into one massive pool of reserve energy. While Xadium is not the best fighter, he now has incredible endurance and a vast wellspring (the ki of 5 lives all maximized + his own) of power to draw from. That, plus Shaldra's pactio, has set him on a course to an evolution. Rei.bot too has changed, becoming fast friends with him after their 25 hour ordeal.
But now time itself is also changing. Sakura, who was from the future, doesn't remember any of this having happened to her father, Yet she also remembers something is due to happen. With Minako gone, training with the inners, Xadium, Sakura and rei.bot face what is to come back-to-back, hoping they can get out of this and protect their freinds...
But Change is Coming. And there isn't anything anyone can do to stop it.
Our story begins on a typical night in the Sub. Senshi house.
