[12:52] * Zalan[fur] follows Simon until he leaves the room, then goes over to climb the tree, occasionally getting red paint on it from his muzzle

[12:53] <Simon Kerrick> Come here kiddo.... right over here... come on, a little closer.
[12:53] * Simon Kerrick gets in the corner.
[12:54] * Simon Kerrick puts down a bit of cardboard and puts a sheet of something on top of it.

[12:55] * Simon Kerrick gestures and says a strange word, and extends his hand, and all the containers of paint float through the air and fly from the tree over to him.

[12:56] * Simon Kerrick sets some paint down, and pours several colors onto the page, and gets a strange brush, and puts it in the middle of a paper in the middle of the cardboard.

[12:57] * Simon Kerrick sticks his hand in some blue paint, and marks a handprint on the page of canvas, showing it to Zalan.
[12:58] * Zalan[fur] jumps down and goes to look at this
[12:58] * Simon Kerrick finger paints in front of Zalan, and mixes the colors.
[12:59] * Simon Kerrick closes the lids of the paint containers, and then continues his fingerpainting exhibition.
[12:59] * Simon Kerrick paints a small rendition of a shaggy quadraped with a stripe down his flank like his audience.

[13:00] * Zalan[fur] puts his front feet in two different colors and drags them across the surface :D

[13:05] * Simon Kerrick sneaks away, goes back over to the table he was working on, and sets his canvas on the wall to dry. It's a pretty good aerial view of the Grande Imperial Theatre, with lots of details, and "entry, exit" markings. It's very detailed, and very well researched.
