[02:46] <Yaijinden> So it's one of those midnight flings that I enjoy for a good while because I've never had sex with a tumbleweed before and she's having a lot of fun too. Then she sprouts seeds and half-me half-tumblweed plant-baby-things.
[02:47] <Yaijinden> I have no idea -why- I was able to crossbreed with a tumbleweed, but there you have it-- and that's not the end of it.
[02:48] <Yaijinden> Apparently, these tumbleweed is part of an ancient alien race of tumbleweeds, possessed of the necessary science and technology to alter themselves, because that's exactly what this tumbleweed did: turned herself human, ish, because she had fallen head over heels in love with me.
[02:49] <Yaijinden> And because I'm still proposing marriage to everyone new that walks in through the door, someone says, "Hey, Yai, you haven't proposed to Fiona yet." So I do. She is thrilled to accept! And inside I am laughing because my inner terrible person has just roused from dormancy.
[02:51] <Yaijinden> Fiona immerses herself in this human "marriage" thing because she doesn't know any better, and I watch her run and fidget and work up all the energy to commit herself to someone she doesn't actually know a thing about aside from that he's good in bed. Floor. Whatever.
[02:51] <Yaijinden> The day comes. She is adorned in the getup of a blushing bride, the altar awaits... and I never show up.
[02:52] <Yaijinden> I choose to leave her there, because I wanted to destroy something beautiful.
[02:53] <Indigo> ...And then I remember why I liked you so much.
[02:53] <Yaijinden> Heh.
[02:53] <Yaijinden> For a while, I get shot a lot of unhappy looks from everyone around. I did her wrong, and I don't seem to care about it, and I deserve those looks-- but then Fiona gets it into her head not to abandon this, as a learning experience, but dedicates herself to showing me the error of my ways.
[02:55] <Yaijinden> And thus, dressed in mourning black and armed with a katana, she promptly goes to spoil all the sympathy she'd accrued when she cuts off one of my arms, has it suspended in cryogenic animation, and stowed away via tumbleweed technology.
[02:56] <Yaijinden> I was still khadi, then. Cutting off my arms only means that I have to regrow them. But khadi can also, with a bit of effort, suspend the natural regeneration that their bodies undergo to reject changes or alterations-- and because I wanted to see how far she would take it, I did so.
[02:57] <Yaijinden> First one arm. Then a leg at the knee. Then another leg at the hip. She says she'll give them all back if I apologize; I refuse to do so on principle, mostly because I'm still not sorry about it.
[02:57] <Yaijinden> And also because it's funny watching her slip into despair trying to communicate to me her shame and self-hate.
[02:58] <Yaijinden> Eventually, though, it becomes too much and the community starts leaping to my defense... which earns the community the wrath of the tumbleweeds.
[02:58] <Yaijinden> It was a lot more serious when it was happening, I swear.
[02:59] <Indigo> It sounds like a terrible Sci Fi Movie
[02:59] <Indigo> The Wrath of the tumbleweeds.
[03:00] <Yaijinden> There's a fight. Violence breaks out before a Christmas. Ultimately, Fiona turns against her former people and sides with us rather than see any further mistakes be made.
[03:01] <Yaijinden> She dies. There's a brief funeral. Her body is taken up by her people, her children by me adopted as strange research-worthy mutants, and I toddle on, now fully aware of what kind of harm I'm capable of doing.

[03:03] <Indigo> I don't fully know how I feel about that. Because on one hand, it's a tumbleweed.
[03:05] <Indigo> At the same time? Only you would be able to make something so ridiculous sound so deep.
