[19:16] * Nelius Raoul dashes in with alarming speed, as Zotia and Abe find cover.
[19:20] *** The Crystalline Chamber unloads a nightmarish number of beams of light, all targeting the demon.
[19:21] * Nelius Raoul uses his axe, Maximov, to cut apart and deflect the beams. Zotia, in the meanwhile, has been targeting the azure core at Abe's behest.
[19:22] * Abe has been using the handgun to also target the core. She's quite surprised at the power of the gun.
[19:23] *** The core is struck with a combination of bullets and magic. The chamber goes to target the pair, only to feel solid metal tear through a chunk of it ---- Nelius had used the Boomerang Axe skill to slice the chamber open.
[19:25] *** The second the chamber focuses on Nelius, Zotia uses a Giga Star to blast away another crystal chunk.
[19:28] *** Enough of the crystal has been shorn away to reveal two massive slabs of glass and circuitry within it. A solid core of crystal, azure in color, is holding the two arrays together.
[19:29] * Abe suppresses her nerves, and aims.
[19:29] <Abe> (Wait for it..........)
[19:29] <Abe> (Wait for it................ now!)
[19:30] * Abe fires off a charged shot that strikes the core dead-on!
[19:31] *** The core shows several cracks. As it tries to repair the damage, Zotia fires a Giga Ice spell, causing the core to freeze.

[19:33] * Nelius Raoul leaps up to the core, and delivers a one-two strike --- first with his axe to crack the core further, and then a follow-up punch to shatter it!
[19:34] *** The core tries its damnest to hold, but it's reached its limit. Under the strength of the demon, the core shatters, the crystals losing their glow as they begin to fall to the ground.

[20:04] * Headset shows D. Kakaku the inside of a room that seems to contain a big, motorized, heavily-computer-laden wheelchair that is set on a raised platform.

[20:04] *** the "wheelchair" blinks, with flashing points for D. Kakaku's hands and feet.
[20:05] *** The seat, where he would sit, flashes, too.
[20:05] * D. Kakaku sits down on it and his hands and feet in those places.
[20:07] *** There is a sudden movement, and D. Kakaku suddenly feels something constricting his wrists, ankles, neck, and what feels like a seatbelt snugly fastened around his waist.
[20:07] * D. Kakaku is now restrained.
[20:08] * Headset doesn't show D. Kakaku anything right now--he cannot see or hear, but he can definitely feel movement, in multiple directions. Left, right, up, down. He still cannot move, though.

[20:09] *** D. Kakaku feels really strange. It's as though the car is turning often, but only movign at barely more than a walking speed.
[20:10] <D. Kakaku> ohhh, hmhmmm
[20:10] *** something pokes into D. Kakaku's right hand, and another thing can be felt poking into the palm of his left hand.
[20:11] <D. Kakaku> ugh, oh!
[20:12] *** D. Kakaku recognizes this shape--it's... a computer mouse?

[20:13] *** It certainly feels like one. He can feel a trackball, and buttons beneath his fingers. He might not be able to move his hands, but he doesn't need to in order to reac these.

[20:14] *** The car seems to stop, and turn, many more times.
[20:15] <D. Kakaku> ohh boy.
[20:16] * Headset , after what seems like many minutes, does show D. Kakaku the outline of the computer-mouse-like objects below his hands. Meanwhile, the vehicle continues to keep moving erratically.
[20:18] * Headset starts showing D. Kakaku a number of city streets, and the sound of music-overlaid traffic noises, which does seem very much like being able to tell where he's going.
[20:18] * Headset continuest o keep track of D. Kakaku's vital signs.
[20:20] * Headset now begins showing D. Kakaku movement that obviously doesn't match the direction his body feels that is is going in.
[20:20] * Headset monitors and puloads D. Kakaku's biomarkers.
[20:22] *** The chair now starts spinning D. Kakaku in a circle with increasing speed.
[20:24] * Headset goes black, and D. Kakaku's world is silent. He just keeps spinning...
[20:25] *** The spinning suddenly stops---maybe... it's really hard to tell now!
[20:26] * Headset uploads D. Kakaku's biomarkers.
[20:30] <D. Kakaku> huh, wha?
[20:30] *** Throughout the rest of the trip, the chair spins D. Kakaku several more times. It's enough to make anybody carsick, especially since he cannot see.
[20:31] * Headset continues its programming.
[20:31] *** The vehicle, finally, stops.
[20:31] <D. Kakaku> whew
[20:32] *** Now, D. Kakaku can feel himself moving again---forward, and then, turning once more, to the left, to reveal a big, pretty, shining hospital entrance. D. Kakaku can hear street sounds and subway take off.
[20:33] *** The hospital doors get closer and closer, and the chair occasionally goes up a tiny bit as though it is hitting a bump. D. Kakaku cannot see anything behind him or beside him. It only shows the hospital, and, when the doors open for him, it's much warmer inside, and a sterile smelle hits his nose.
[20:34] * D. Kakaku sniffs
[20:34] <D. Kakaku> oh wow!
[20:35] * Headset seems tos ohw that D. Kakaku is in a totally normal wheelchair that is being pushed through various corridors.
[20:36] <D. Kakaku> hmmm, oh my
[20:37] *** D. Kakaku sees a nurse, wearing sunglasses and a surgical mask that obscure her face, and hears her say, "Oh, welcome! We've been looking forward to greeting you. Please get up and follow me!"

[20:38] * D. Kakaku tries to get up
[20:38] <D. Kakaku> am I still wearing this?
[20:41] *** D. Kakaku can easily stand up! Why wouldn't he be able to?
[20:41] *** The nurse says, "well, you can continue to wear VR headsets if you like. We find they are good for anxiolysis, but before you decide on whether to take it off, please come with me through this door."

[20:42] * D. Kakaku follows the nurse
[20:42] *** A door behind the nurse seems to open on its own, and she walks through it.
[20:42] *** The door closes with a slam.
[20:43] <Nurse> Er, hi! Welcome to our facility. We have you down for all of the tests your sponsor paid for.
[20:43] <D. Kakaku> ah, nice
[20:43] <Nurse> I notice you are wearing a virtual reality headset? Would you mind telling me why you are wearing it, and whether you want to keep it on?
[20:44] <D. Kakaku> well, it helped me get in the limo to took to get me here, if I don't have to keep it on, I'll take it off for now.
[20:45] <Nurse> It's totally up to you. We do have some consent agreements for you to sign, though!
[20:45] <D. Kakaku> okay
[20:46] <Nurse> We have a large number of tests, which could be hard on you and lengthy, so we value your informed consent. We can tell you all kinds of things about them, as well as about our policies, it is only your sponsoe which will remain confidential.
[20:46] <D. Kakaku> alright
[20:47] * D. Kakaku looks for the agreements
[20:48] *** The agreements are strewn over a desk in front of him, with a woman in a business suit sitting on the other side. The room doesn't look like it did in the headset, btw.
[20:48] * D. Kakaku looks at everything and then signs.
[20:49] <Legal Assistant> Hi there. I'm your legal advocate. I'm happy to answer almost any question you have that doesn't violate our policies. It's important that you understand what you are signing up for---wait a moment.

[20:49] <Legal Assistant> You did notice that the lab results are sold by our organization, or that you are scheduled for psychological tests that could be frightening, without forewarning the test is taking place? Or that you will lose consciousness several times during the tests?

[20:50] <Legal Assistant> I'm used to more questions, but I see you do have one. What is it, and how may I help you?
[20:50] <D. Kakaku> I'm aware
[20:50] <D. Kakaku> I do.... well, is the place aware about my... watch?
[20:52] <Legal Assistant> You wouldn't be using any outside possessions during the tests.
[20:52] <D. Kakaku> okay
[20:53] <Legal Assistant> There are some entries in your file, yes. It did seem that you hallucinated in regards to something like that when you were under the effects of some medications last time, according to the anesthesiologist, Dr. Sakamoto.
[20:53] * D. Kakaku nods
[20:54] <Legal Assistant> I also see that a traumatic experience seemed to occur during one of your prior visits. I can assure you that we have GREATLY increased our security for the benefit of our patients. That type of break-in has never happened before, and it's vitally important that the recipients of our procedures trust our facility, and that their sponsor's wishes will be carried out properly.

[20:55] <Legal Assistant> I have a note here to inform you that you should not expect to be in any danger during your tests. Do you have further questions, or are you prepared to sign your consent?

[20:56] <Legal Assistant> Please be aware, before you do, that certain tests and procedures, as well as medications that will be admiinistered, might make it incredibly difficult to revoke your consent after the tests have begun. Do you understand?

[20:57] <Legal Assistant> Very well, then.
[20:58] <Legal Assistant> Please be aware that this will be flimed, and be used in lititgation if necessary.

[20:58] <Legal Assistant> Now, might I ask about the device you wore when you came in?
[20:58] <D. Kakaku> the VR headset?
[20:59] * D. Kakaku explains the VR headset
[20:59] <Legal Assistant> Yes. Will you be wearing that during your stay? Many people feel calmer wearing it, so it is up to you.
[20:59] <Legal Assistant> Your sponsor or sponsors did not insist that you see all that is being done, so you can wear it to relax if you wish.

[21:00] * D. Kakaku puts it back on.
[21:01] *** The legal assistant, and pretty much everything else in the room, disappears.
[21:02] * D. Kakaku looks again.
[21:03] *** The room looks very different than when he came in. There is no desk, but some of the nurses are there. Eventually, though, even this slowly disappears, and D. Kakaku is treated to a set of pulsating lights and haunting, disorienting music.

[21:05] *** An uknown amount of time passes.
[21:05] *** D. Kakaku can see a gurney now, and the medical transport is the only thing that is visible aside from the oceans of swirling colors and shifting music and sounds.
[21:06] <Headset> Your sponsor directs you to lay down on the gurney.
[21:06] * D. Kakaku goes to lay down on it.
[21:09] *** D. Kakaku feels himself moves around slowly. The colors disappear after a bit, and he perceives hospital lights and hallways above him, though in some areas, the enrapturing colors and sounds return.
[21:09] <D. Kakaku> ooohhh
[21:10] * Headset shows D. Kakaku a nurse, who says that he should get up, and shows him some different shaped containers. She directs him to try to fit his body into them, in sequence.
[21:12] * D. Kakaku gets up and tries to fit into them in sequence.
[21:13] *** The various containers require D. Kakaku to contort his body, move around, and twist his joints a bit. He notices that they are getting smaller and smaller.
[21:14] <D. Kakaku> Wow, oh boy.
[21:14] * D. Kakaku continues
[21:17] *** After this period of trials end, there is a tone, and the voice of the nurse says, "This next test is for color recognition. Please indicate when you see colors, and what color they are. We'll be recording your answers. Good luck!"
[21:18] * D. Kakaku nods
[21:18] * Headset starts showing D. Kakaku reds, browns, purples, yellows, reds, and then, after a little while, it shows combinations of colors that are much harder to immediately describe.
[21:18] * Headset carefully records each time D. Kakaku successfully identifies a color.
[21:19] *** After a lengthy period of this, D. Kakaku can see that he's in a very different room, and there is a chair to sit in. The nurses (there is more than one now) say, "please sit in this chair. The next part is the sound identification portion!"
[21:21] *** Once he has sat down, D. Kakaku heras a voice asking if he is ready to begin.
[21:24] <D. Kakaku> I'm ready to begin
[21:25] * Headphones alternate playing various types of sounds for D. Kakaku, which the nurses (it varies whicvh one) ask him to identify. Bird sounds, gasping, a scream, wind, a baby crying, the sounds go on and on.
[21:26] * Headphones VIGILANTLY scans and stores the EKG and ECG readings, as well as all audio biomarkers, when D. Kakaku's brain perceives different sounds.
[21:26] * D. Kakaku identifies most of them.
[21:26] *** An unknown amount of time passes.
[21:28] *** The nurse now says that the sight and sound tests will be combined, and that he'll be shown a color, or picture, and played a sound or music, and once they cut off, he must identify both.
[21:28] * D. Kakaku nods
[21:29] * Headphones now play all kinds of sounds--droning jet and car engines, a strange bumping noise, and the headset plays pictures of kittens, bright colors of blue, and the inside of an airplane in flight. All kinds of stimuli are applied, some of them very simple, and others that seem like D. Kakaku is really experiencing it, and must say things like "hearing a thunderstorm while looking out a window that's green."
[21:29] * D. Kakaku listens, sees and does
[21:30] * Nurses now step into D. Kakaku's field of view, and say that he needs to follow them for much more intensive testing.
[21:31] *** The nurses show D. Kakaku through another room, and direct him to sit in a very formidable looking chair with all kinds of attachments on it. "Right there, please. Your sponsor will be very pleased at your success so far. Next up are the tactile adn olfactory tests!
[21:31] <D. Kakaku> alright, sounds good
[21:33] <Nurses> Please sit down, then!
[21:33] * D. Kakaku sits down
[21:34] <Nurses> That's great. Now please put your arms in those openings on the side of the chair?
[21:34] * D. Kakaku does so
[21:35] *** The chair inflates air sacs that firmly hold D. Kakaku's arms in place where he cannot move them again.
[21:35] <Nurses> Thats' great. That'll keep your arms nice and out of the way!
[21:35] <D. Kakaku> okay
[21:35] <Nurses> Okay, now we are going to secure your feet, too, and restrain you to make sure you cannot hurt yourself during the tests!
[21:36] *** D. Kakaku watches the nurses, and slowly but surely, his feet, and chest, and waist, are all immobilized.
[21:37] <Nurses> Okay, we are going to activate a special machine now, because we need to take some control readings. Try to relax, okay?
[21:39] *** D. Kakaku slowly feels himself get tickled from various openings on the table.
[21:39] *** It happens one by one, place by place, and there's no avoiding it.
[21:39] * D. Kakaku giggles a bit from the tickling.
[21:39] <Nurses> Okay, just say something whenever you feel a thing, okay? We will be done with the tactile testing very soon.
[21:40] <D. Kakaku> heheh okayyyayayy
[21:41] *** D. Kakaku is tickled in all the stereotypical places on his body, and blowers blow warm or cool air on him for him to report. The tickling becomes more common, and the chair even extends appendages to tickle the immobile soles of his feet. These things happens everal times, sometimes with hearing, and sometimes with vision, but sometimes while D. Kakaku is blinded or deafened or both.
[21:42] *** D. Kakaku finds himself describing increasingly complex sensations of touch, sound, and vision. Slowly but surely, he realizes that ther is a pressure around his neck. It might have been applied during tickling, and was difficult to notice, but it is there now.
[21:43] * Headset meticulously records these readings.
[21:46] *** The tests continue, but D. Kakaku slowly begins to feel increasingly-light headed, and that it's difficult to keep track of things. He increasingly starts getting the colors and sounds wrong, and isn't even able to feel things like being tickled. The tests continue, though they are sometimes (it SEEMS) interspersed with whispered words and swirly colors.
[21:46] * Headset records these patterns, with the most reduncandy of all.
[21:47] <D. Kakaku> mmmmhmhehehehehh
[21:47] *** D. Kakaku starts feeling increasingly relaxed and happy. It's hard to be concerned about anything, and the tests slowly give way to a powerful feeling of well-being.
[21:49] * Headset suddenly shows black, and the next thing D. Kakaku realizes, he has something on his face that is covering his nose and mouth!
[21:49] <D. Kakaku> hehahahghhmmmmmmmmm
[21:49] <D. Kakaku> mmmmmhmmmmm
[21:51] *** D. Kakaku can see his headset on a hospital cart near him, and looking at his face, he can see a mask with several hoses attached to it. He still feels woozy, and cannot move, there seems to even be a strap around his forehead, leaving him looking up at the ceiling.
[21:52] * New Nurse leans into D. Kakaku's field of view. "Hello! We noticed that you got really relaxed and fell asleep during your tactile tests, so we fitted the inhalation mask for the smell tests while you were relaxed. 'Mmmph' twice if everything feels okay!" ^_^
[21:54] <New Nurse> Er, hello? Are you still a little too relaxed to answer?
[21:54] <D. Kakaku> A bit
[21:55] <New Nurse> Well, would you like to take a break before your next test, or continue the testing?
[21:55] <D. Kakaku> Well, let's see
[21:56] <New Nurse> Just think carefully. You are doing a great job!
[21:57] <New Nurse> You can always rest before your next treatments, or we can keep going. Which do you prefer?

[21:58] *** D. Kakaku can feel a little fiddling being done with the hoses that are connected to the mask that is strapped to him.

[22:03] * A Barely-Recognizable Face leans down into D. Kakaku's field of view. "Hello there! I liked your headset very much! My name is Doctor Sakamoto!"

[22:04] * A Barely-Recognizable Face leans out of D. Kakaku's field of view.
[22:05] * A Barely-Recognizable Face doesn't seem to hear him. "Now, we've got you hooked up to do the smell-detection tests, but this breathing circuit is also hooked up to some of my equipmkent because we need to do some anesthesia dosage titration on behalf of your sponsor!"
[22:05] *** D. Kakaku starts to feel funny.
[22:06] <Dr. Sakamoto's Voice> Right now, you should smell something that smells a liiiiitle bit like nail polish? Do you?
[22:06] <D. Kakaku> I do
[22:07] <Dr. Sakamoto's Voice> Well, that's one olfactory test that has been passed!
[22:08] <Dr. Sakamoto's Voice> You see, I added a little vit of Sevoflurane to your breathing circuit, and it generates that smell for some people in high doses.
[22:08] <D. Kakaku> I see
[22:09] *** D. Kakkau starts to feel pleasant and dizzy.
[22:09] <Dr. Sakamoto's Voice> It makes a nice and smooth transition into unconsciousness, you see. Your tests are going great!
[22:10] * Dr. Sakamoto's Voice is barely audible over a ringing sound, and the room starts going black.
[22:10] <D. Kakaku> that's good.
[22:10] <Dr. Sakamoto's Voice> It sure is! Just relax, now!

[22:11] *** The room and voice recedes into the sensation of buzzing and floating.
[22:11] *** An unknown amount of time passes.
[22:12] * Headset laboriously downloads and catalogs this data.
[22:13] *** D. Kakaku awakens. He barely move, and cannot really turn his head, but he can still see the headset dangling above him.

[22:14] <New Nurse> IT looks like you've been enjoying your testing very much. Lots of people feel relaxed under the effects of these medications, though.
[22:14] <D. Kakaku> Mmm, morning
[22:15] <New Nurse> So I know you cannot see me, but I've gone ahead and hooked up your breathing circuit to measure your sense of smell. Doctor Sakamoto is here too, and she'll be participating by adding some medicine for you to breathe during the tests. After these tests, we'll do another one with your nose clipped shut. It's really important to have both experimental and control data, after all. Here we go!

[22:17] <D. Kakaku> I'm ready
[22:17] *** Lots of different smells are administered to D. Kakaku. Spring rain, leather, rubber, barn door, flowers, deodorant, "new car smell," and mixtures of all of them. At various points, the smell changes to something else, occasionally nail polish, and D. Kakaku starts losing his sense of perspective and self, and it becomes incredibly difficult to answer the questions. Sometimes the questions are asked in quick successions, and sometimes it's a puzzlingly long itme between them.
[22:18] *** Sometimes, it feels like hours between the questions, and the room spins or goes dark, and other times, the scents are really easy to place.
[22:18] * D. Kakaku answers to the best of his ability.
[22:19] * New Nurse says, at the end of the tests, after D. Kakaku has smelled various things, and been talked to or allowed to fall asleep, that "Okay, we are almost done with this portion of the tests. Doctor Sakamoto, is everything okay?"
[22:20] <D. Kakaku> Alright
[22:20] <Dr. Sakamoto's Voice> "Yes, isn't he doing great? I do see a fault in the administration cart, though. We'll put him back under some more, and it should be fine. Daniel, we need to clip your nose shut for this next test, okay? When you wake up, you'll feel you can only breath through your mouth.
[22:20] <Dr. Sakamoto's Voice> Now, just relax...
[22:21] *** The air starts to smell sweet to D. Kakaku, and the room begins to buzz and spin as he continues to breathe from the mask strapped to his face.
[22:22] <D. Kakaku> Oh my
[22:22] *** D. Kakaku starts feeling increasingly strange, and parts of his body feel heavy... and then he wakes up, and nobody is in the room.
[22:23] <D. Kakaku> Huh wha?
[22:23] * D. Kakaku wonders if the VR headset is in him
[22:23] * Headset can be seen hanging from a cart in the very edge of his perception with some computers and hoses in it. D. Kakaku feels a little snug all over--the VR headset could be on him, but that's where the straps to the mask and what not have been.
[22:24] <D. Kakaku> Ughhh, whaaa?
[22:24] *** D. Kakaku also has a large medical nose clip on, and he can only breathe through his mouth. There's a hose attached to his face feeding him air, and he cannot spit it out, but it only is secured in his mouth, as his nose is clipped shut.
[22:25] <D. Kakaku> Mmmmph
[22:25] * Headset seems to be hung from a cart full of computers on the edge of his vision. The computers are spazzing out, and have things like "surge", "critical error," and "disconnect immediately" flashing on their screen, though notoby seems to be in the room to see them.

[22:26] *** One of the computers spazzes out even more, and it's screen shorts out, and starts sparking---right in front of the sign on the wall that says "Danger: Oxygen in Use."

[22:27] *** D. Kakaku can BARELY TURN HIS HEAD because of the restraints, and the hoses feeding to his mouth get in the way---he cannot move any more, and cannot leave the bed or really look around, but even he can see the smoke rising from the computer in increasing amounts...

[22:29] *** A thicker, more substantial column of smoke can be seen coming from the next monitor... D. Kakaku can hear the distinct sound of a fire alarm, just as flames erupt from the computer and spread down the cord and around the room!
[22:30] * D. Kakaku just lies down on the bed, eyes wide
[22:31] *** D. Kakaku feels INCREDIBLY HOT. The room fills with smoke, and although the blankets covering D. Kakaku and his restraints repel sparks and don't catch, it's only a matter of time. Screaming can be heard through the doors. As the smoke fills the room. D. Kakaku's eyes sting more and more.

[22:32] * D. Kakaku rries closing his eyes
[22:32] *** D. Kakaku can feel the room spinning, and a loud buzzing sound droning even over the fire alarm.

[22:33] *** D. Kakaku wakes up to soft sounds filling his field of view, and gentle music in his ears.

[22:34] * Headset stops the music and light show as soon as D. Kakaku awakens. The nurses, and Dr. Sakamoto, are in front of him. "Great job! You passed the first of the VR tests!"
[22:35] * Headset finishes uploading the results of tyhe test--all of them, off to... somewhere.
[22:35] *** The medical staff explain that there was never a danger, but they needed to evaluate his adrenaline response, too. That's why the headset was useful!

[22:40] * Headset slowly scrolls through the form he signed, and the earphones replay the legal rep's phrasing of "psychological tests you might consider frightening," as well as the part about "without forewarning the test is taking place," and how he would lose consciousness, etc etc.
[22:40] * Headset then shows D. Kakaku a bright pink background.
[22:40] * D. Kakaku subconsciously nods
[22:41] <D. Kakaku> Huhg?
[22:41] <Nurse> Okay, Mr. Kakaku, we have down the first of your adrenaline tests. I cannot inform you if there are any more, but for now, we'll just be testing your sense of smell, as a control, even though the clip is on. After that, Doctor Sakamoto will anesthetize you for the next phase of the experiment, okay?

[22:43] *** The battery of tests continue to be run, testing D. Kakaku's various senses, sometimes alone, sometimes together, sometimes under the influence of drugs. There are what seem to be loooong pauses between, where D. Kakaku feels like a nap would be perfect, and other times that scary stuff seems to happen that could kill him.
[22:44] <D. Kakaku> Hmmhmmm
[22:44] *** It never does, of course, it's always revealed to be a simulation after he wakes up from being knocked out while his adrenaline is blaring. The other tests are repeated. D. Kakaku realizes at times that hsi limbs are in different positions, meaniing he either moved them and forgot, or is hallucinating, or his pose is being changed while he's out.

[22:46] *** A good number of the tests---though it's hard for D. Kakaku to remember exactly, seem to take place while he is swimming? He feels water around him, the sound of bubbles, and feels himself swimming around. It's impossible for his addled, and somewhat tired mind, to tell what is real.

[22:47] * Nurse appears in D. Kakaku's field of view, a very very very long time later, which must definitely be hours of every sense being teased and tested, whether mobile or restrained, and says, "Great news! The tests are complete!"

[22:47] <Nurse> You've done an amazing job, and this data will be incredibly useful.
[22:47] <Nurse> Now, we know that you have been worked very hard, so I have a few options for you.

[22:48] <Nurse> Yes. We want to offer you the opportunity to spend the night in our facility, if you want. Medically, we recommend it, as what you have been through could leave you very disoriented.
[22:49] <D. Kakaku> Okay, can I use any outside stuff I have?
[22:49] <Nurse> You need plenty of rest in a bed, where you can be evaluated and cleared, before you leave. We intend to put you in a wheelchair, and transport you to our recovery room where you'll be monitored continually.

[22:49] <Nurse> Once you are cleared, your possessions will be returned to you. You will stay in the hospital gown for now.

[22:50] <Nurse> I just have one question---do you want us to take you up there now, or would you like to relaxed for a while unders sedation, which will turn up in a bit to put you to sleep, and to be transported to recovery that way, and wake up later?

[22:53] * Nurse puts IVs in him, and gives him liquids to drink through a straw, and sets him down on a bed that even has a recession to keep wearing the headset. It seems, only now, that Daniel realizes how hard his body has been worked.

[22:53] *** Question: Once you are in the bed, and everyone has left, and you are in the room with soft lights and pretty art and a blanket covering you, hearing the beeps of the equipment through the hallway, do you take off the VR headset?

All scary hospital equipment and negative sounds or images are edited away, and instead it shows crickets backet up by a thematically appropriate soundtrack, and digitally removes the ceiling of the hospital so he can see the stars.

[22:59] * Headset UPLOADS it to---somewhere, and even keeps going after it detects D. Kakaku is asleep and analyzes his dreams. Unlike before, it doesn't seem to need a recharge AT ALL.
